What Are the Main Meetings?
Each week during term-time we meet at 5.15pm (The venue varies and will be announced in the weekly emails) for our weekly meeting. In line with our mission statement, the focus of our main meetings is to mobilise and equip us for sharing what we believe with our friends and other students on campus. During the meeting we spend some time chatting, praying and singing. Most of the time in our meeting is spent reading a passage from the Bible and listening to a talk from a visiting speaker, helping us to think about what is meant by what the passage says and how it applies to our lives. After the talk we often split into smaller groups to chat about what we have heard and to pray for each other. The meetings last for roughly 1.5 hours, with time before and after to chat and catch up with each other.
If you aren't sure whether you would call yourself a Christian or just want to know more, you are more than welcome to meet with us. Our meetings are informal and relaxed and no participation is neccessary - you won't be forced to sing, pray or talk if you don't want to! All of our meetings are free and open to anyone. You do not have to be a member of the Christian Union to come along.
