What is Mission Week?

During the Spring term the Christian Union puts on an intensive week of events, which we call our 'Mission Week' where we seek to explain the good news about Jesus to as many students on campus as we can. This is in conjunction with a London-wide mission as many other CUs in London have their mission the same week. We all come together each evening for central events which this year will be in All Souls Church, Langham Place.

The dates for this year's mission week are 24th-28th of January 2011. Each day members of theChristian Union can be found in the spit and available to talk about life, the universe and everything. Here is what else we have planned:

The lunch bars will be a chance to hear a talk on a particular topic from a Christian stance and the chance for free lunch. The talks will be given by Charlie Skrine, a preacher from a large church called St. Helen's in central London. Thursday's talk will be given by Dr. Andrew Sach who also works at St. Helen's Church and is particularly well read on the subject of science and God. There will be the opportunity for questions and discussion at the end of each talk.

Evening events at All Soul's Church will be a café style event with a talk each night from Graham Daniels, an enthusiastic and engaging speaker. Each night we will be looking at a different passage from the book of Luke in the New Testament of the Bible and how each one of us is affected by what the Bible has to say. Come along ready to be challenged…

A group from Guy's Campus will meet on Tue, Wed and Thur evening at 6.15pm outside Boland House to head to the evening events at All Soul's Church together.

All events are free of charge
Free copies of Luke's gospel will be available at the events
